1. My patio door doesn't slide easily and sometimes it doesn't lock.
With the wheels, simply remove the adjustment caps on the sliding door and spray the light oil in while moving the door left to right. Afterward, the track will need to be wiped clean so that the excess residue will not attach to the wheels. The lock needs to be sprayed to keep it lubricated and operating smoothly.
2. What makes a window or door energy efficient?
Numerous factors, including how the frame and sashes are engineered and built, the type of glass used (singe, double, or triple pane), the weatherstripping, the type of low-emissity coating on the glass and the precense of argon or krypton gas.
